Individual counseling for adults

Healing and hope are possible! Counselors at Abide Christian Counseling provide individual counseling for adults. Work one-on-one with your counselor to address personal issues, challenges, and mental health concerns including anxiety, depression, relationship struggles, and more. Clinical services are specialized and tailored to fit your specific and unique needs

Individual counseling for teens ages 12+

The teenage season of life can be extremely challenging! Pressures can come from school, work, home life, extra curricular activities, family, friends, relationships, life change, and more. We are here to help you navigate the thoughts and emotions of this time with someone who cares and who you can trust.

Parents/guardians, please be aware that joint counseling (teen + parent/guardian) and/or family counseling is required for teens engaged in individual counseling at Abide. The frequency of joint counseling can be determined together during the first appointment.

Counseling for families of teens in therapy at Abide

We believe that relationships are vital, especially connection with our family and those in our household. Because of this, Abide Christian Counseling offers parent/teen or family group counseling for teens currently engaged in individual counseling with us.

Family therapy can help improve communication and resolve conflicts. It focuses on understanding how family dynamics, relationships, and patterns of interaction contribute to individual and collective well-being. Healing happens in relationship, alongside others; family therapy seeks to accomplish this goal.

Our approach

Relationships are vital; they are what we are made for, they are how we are designed, and they are a huge part of how we spend our time and energy. This includes our vertical relationship with God, and our horizontal relationship with others. At Abide, we believe that most mental health issues stem from some sort of attachment issue. Because of this, attachment theory is a main modality used in all treatment options with our counselors.

With attachment theory, we also use a variety of other evidence-based modalities to create a client-centered approach, including the following:
